Golden City is recreational and educational center of Almaty region. Entertainment market in Almaty region is concentrated mostly in the city of Almaty and presented by amusement parks, aqua parks, cinemas, night clubs and mini amusement park for children with major shopping centers. Despite the rapid increase of the number of facilities for leisure activities, as family or individual, regional entertainment market is still in its initial stage and has great potential for development.

An important aspect in development of Golden City is its close proximity to the Gate City, which could lead to merger of these two cities in the future.

There is planned to build a stadium with modern international standards, amusement park, courts, water parks in Golden City. With regard to the climatic features, entertainment objects in the cities are located in closed spaces, so there is also planned to build special winter recreational pavilions. Construction of the stadium that has no analogues in Kazakhstan, unifying Golden City and Gate City, as well as the creation of a large amusement park considered for different age groups, should ensure a large flow of visitors.

A distinctive feature of the city will be construction of the small students’ city with its own campus, with high level of education, which will include a training building, a great library, comfortable residences, an Internet center, a special sports zone.


The University will be able to have their campuses for students, where, besides teaching corps will be created the Internet cafe, dining room and cafeteria, conference hall, swimming pool, basketball field, tennis courts and squash, rooms for aerobics and athletics, gyms, pool and shops. Established infrastructure will raise the living conditions and education of students to a new level.

Various laboratory, medical and educational centers, as well as increasing the capacity of professionals in the field of medicine will contribute to the development of the medical cluster of Golden City.

In a residential area is planned to build low-rise buildings of A and B classes. The city will be provided by the full spectrum of social infrastructure, hotel complex, public and municipal buildings.

Creating a new kind of entertainment services and proximity to the Gate City and Almaty, as well as the location along the route Almaty-Kapshagay, Golden City will help attract visitors and provide entertainment center of Almaty region.
